At the turn of the seasons, the autumn leaves coat the forest floor like a colourful, quilted blanket. As they lay, they release an abundance of vital nourishment back to the earth, preparing for the budding of spring. This brimmed hat witnesses this beautiful transition, as the spiral of the seasons circles herself back to the very first bud of the year. Winter is long and dark, and every creature anticipates spring with a keen eye, watching for life to reappear from it’s restful slumber. Clinging to the curl of this hat, a wee mouse waters a delicate little shoot with a delighted excitement of feasts to come.

material: 19 micron merino wool (ethically sourced), silk chiffon and cotton lace (hand-dyed with natural materials), adjustable/removeable band made with raffia wrapped wire and creeping virginia vines

technique: wet felt, nuno felt, dry/needle felt

size: 22.5” (can be adjusted to fit smaller head size, or stretched to fit up to 23”)you can learn how to measure your head circumference here

shipping: please see my shipping info page here, and note that it will take extra time for me to prepare this hat for shipment if size adjustments are required. also, this hat requires an inner hat band to be sewn in after i find out the new owners head size, so please note that this will delay shipping for a couple days while i finish her up. if you have any issues with shipping options during your purchase, please just continue with the purchase and we will figure out the right method for you afterwards.
