Birch trees are so beautiful, especially in the fall. Ghostly white, silky bark peeling slightly at growing edges, dark eyes keeping a watchful gaze over vibrant golden leaves. this hat transforms the bark of a birch into a warm, soft sheet of felt, wrapped gracefully into a wren-shaped hat.

material: 19 micron merino wool (ethically sourced), silk chiffon (hand-dyed with natural materials)

technique: wet felt, nuno felt

size: 22.5” (can be adjusted to fit smaller head size, or stretched to fit up to 23”) you can learn how to measure your head circumference here

shipping: please see my shipping info page here, and note that it will take extra time for me to prepare this hat for shipment if size adjustments are required. also, this hat requires an inner hat band to be sewn in after i find out the new owners head size, so please note that this will delay shipping for a couple days while i finish her up. if you have any issues with shipping options during your purchase, please just continue with the purchase and we will figure out the right method for you afterwards.
