Inside the hollow of a grandmother tree, the bees work their ancient magic of filling her deteriorating body with new life. Her crumbling surface, once armoured in bark, is now adorned with an overflow of golden hexagons, vibrating with the music of many studious little pollinators. And though she isn’t the grand fir that she once was, no longer flocked in a garment of fresh green fragrant needles, she is beautiful and she is home.

material: 19 micron merino wool (ethically sourced), silk chiffon (hand-dyed with natural materials)

technique: wet felt, needle felt

size: 22.5” (can be adjusted to fit smaller head size, or stretched to fit up to 23.5”). you can learn how to measure your head circumference here

shipping: please see my shipping info page here, and note that it will take extra week for me to prepare this hat for shipment if size adjustments are required. also, this hat requires an inner hat band to be sewn in after i find out the new owners head size, so please note that this will delay shipping for a couple days while i finish her up. if you have any issues with shipping options during your purchase, please just continue with the purchase and we will figure out the right method for you afterwards.
